Troy's Help Desk LLC, northern New Jersey. Effective 29 October 2026.

What I do

Computer, phone, Wi-Fi, printer and TV help at your home, and over the phone for members. The price is shown before you book and does not change unless we agree to more work on the day.

Prices

A house call is $249 for the first hour, travel included anywhere in the area shown on the front page. The first hour is the minimum. After that, $199 an hour, billed in 15-minute steps, and I check with you before we go past the first hour. New Jersey sales tax is added to every charge. Outside the area, I quote the travel before you book.

Paying

Nothing is charged when you book. You pay after the visit, by card, Zelle or check. Card payments go through Stripe. If you save a card with me, it is stored by Stripe, not by me, and it is only charged for work you asked for.

Changing or cancelling

Call or text as early as you can and we pick another time. There is no cancellation fee.

Your data on your devices

I back up what I can before I work on a device, but I cannot promise to recover data that is already lost or damaged, and I am not responsible for data that was not backed up before the visit.

Text messages

Troy's Help Desk LLC sends text messages only to people who tick the box on the booking form or who text the business number first. The messages are appointment confirmations, reminders, replies to your texts, and receipts. Message frequency varies, usually two or three texts for each visit. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts; you will get one message confirming that, and no more. Reply HELP for help, or call or text (973) 275-8769, or email book@troyshelpdesk.com.
