Troy's Help Desk LLC, northern New Jersey. Effective 29 October 2026.
What I collect
When you book, the form asks for your name, your phone number, your email if you want to give it, your ZIP code, and for a house call your street address. It also keeps the problem you picked on the front page and the day and time you chose. That is everything the form collects.
When you call or text the business number, I keep the number you called from, a transcript of any voicemail, and the texts you send.
Why
To come to the right house at the right time, to confirm the appointment, to remind you before it, and to send you a receipt. Nothing else. I do not run advertising and I do not sell or rent any of this to anyone.
How it is kept
Your name, phone number, email and address are stored encrypted. Only the appointment details are kept in plain form. The companies that carry the service see what they need to do their part: the phone carrier for calls and texts, the card processor for card payments, and the company that hosts this website. None of them may use your details for their own purposes.
Calls
Calls to the business number may be recorded for my notes, so I can remember what we talked about and what I fixed. New Jersey allows recording with one party's consent, and I am that party. Ask me and I will delete a recording.
Texts
I text you only if you tick the box on the booking form, or if you text me first. The texts are confirmations, reminders, replies to your texts, and receipts. Message frequency varies, usually two or three texts for each visit. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help. I will not share your opt-in to text messages, or your phone number, with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you this service. Text-message consent is not sold, rented or shared.
This website
The site keeps visitor statistics on a server I run myself, with no cookies and no advertising networks. It shows the town nearest to your internet connection in one sentence on the front page and stores nothing about that. The "Check my location" button uses your browser's location on your own device and sends nothing to me.
Deleting your details
Text or email me and I will delete what I have about you. Payment records stay as long as the tax rules require.
